Community involvement
Mr. Messer is treasurer of the Brooklyn Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers Project, an organization dedicated to helping low-income Brooklyn residents who have legal needs. He is also a volunteer youth athletic coach.
Education and admission information
Mr. Messer graduated from Drew University with a B.A. in 1974. He went on to receive his J.D. from Albany Law School in 1977.
In 1978, Mr. Messer was admitted to the New York State Bar Association. He was subsequently admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, the Southern District of New York, and the Northern District of New York.
